"This picture was taken around 1906 or so, based on Grant was born 1900, last kid, at the homestead on the American River. RJ, Emma, Grant and a little fun finding a critter, which took me a long time to ID. ..........
The homestead was auctioned off, because of debts 11 Feb 1928, on the steps of the court house to F. W. Barkhaus, Calif Fruit Exchange for $5,516, according to the records. Seems Cliff and Frank couldn’t keep away from the race track."
